Oyo Rep Secures Federal Approval for Pedestrian Bridges on Ibadan-Lagos Expressway

In a move to enhance road safety, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, the Member representing Oluyole Federal Constituency, has secured federal approval for the construction of pedestrian bridges at critical points along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The approval was granted by the Honourable Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, following a meeting with the lawmaker in his office on Monday.

Hon. Akande-Sadipe highlighted the urgent need for the bridges in densely populated areas within her constituency to prevent accidents and protect pedestrians. Her advocacy began with a motion on the floor of the House of Representatives, where she identified ten high-priority locations requiring immediate intervention.
