Youths from Ajaawa town in Ogo Oluwa Local Government, Oyo State have set ablaze several houses, two cars, five motorcycles, a notorious kidnappers den, several valuables and a big shrine in the community after a member of their community was killed by officers attached to a notable member of the town.
Sources have since confirmed that the burnt property and valuables destroyed belong to a man called Prince Gideon Oyekunle, aka ‘Ade Master’ whose security detail fired the bullets that killed 40-year-old Oluwajubee, the murdered community resident.
Ade master and his family have since fled to avoid being attacked by the angry residents who, fed up, accused him of being the brains behind the increased criminal activity in their town
The formerly peaceful town has, in recent times, witnessed an increase in criminal activities as the 40-year-old son of the Chief Imam was murdered some weeks ago around the same time 9 people were abducted in the town.
Just last week, another person was almost abducted but luckily escaped.
All attempts by members of the press to reach the fleeing Ade Master have so far proved abortive as his numbers remain unreachable and his whereabouts unknown at the time of filing this report.
The executive chairman of Ajaawa, Prince Oluwaseun Ojo has said that his priority is to make sure that the situation does not degenerate further and spark a full-blown crisis. In light of these events, the Alajawaa of Ajaawa, Oba Thompson Adeyeye Akanmu Oladele has since declared a 7 pm -6 am curfew and called for the State government to intervene immediately.
