The Chairman/Director General of the Oyo State Gaming and lottery board, Mr. Olajide Boladuro, has joined friends, associates, and well-wishers in celebrating the birthday of Hon. Adedeji Stanley Olajide, popularly known as Odidiomo, the lawmaker representing Ibadan North-West/South-West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
In a statement issued in Ibadan on Thursday, Boladuro described the celebrant as “a bridge between global innovation and grassroots development,” noting that Odidiomo’s political and professional journey stands as proof that leadership can be both visionary and people-centered.
“Hon. Odidiomo is not just marking age; he is marking impact. He has been able to combine his deep international exposure with a grassroots connection that continues to inspire many of us in Oyo State. He is the true definition of a leader who understands both global solutions and local realities,” Boladuro said.
The Gaming Board DG highlighted Odidiomo’s background as a trained bioinformatician and technology expert, stressing how his decades of experience in the United States shaped his contributions to Nigeria’s digital economy.
“As Chairman of the House Committee on ICT and Cybersecurity, Odidiomo has changed the conversation around Nigeria’s future. His push for cybersecurity reforms, digital literacy, and tech-driven governance proves that he is not only representing Ibadan but also positioning Nigeria for the global stage,” he added.
Boladuro further applauded the lawmaker’s commitment to grassroots empowerment, pointing to his interventions in education, infrastructure, and youth development.
“From establishing ICT centers that train our young people in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, to providing boreholes, solar streetlights, and scholarships, Odidiomo has touched lives in very practical ways. His generosity, humility, and inclusiveness are why his people remain loyal to him,” Boladuro said.
The DG also reflected on Odidiomo’s philanthropic spirit, describing him as “a leader who gives beyond politics.”
“Whether it is purchasing JAMB forms for indigent students or supporting party structures with personal funds, Odidiomo consistently shows that politics is about service. His kind of leadership is what Oyo and Nigeria need more of,” Boladuro added.
Concluding his message, Boladuro prayed for more fruitful years for the celebrant.
“On behalf of my family and the Oyo State Gaming Board, I wish Hon. Odidiomo many more years of good health, wisdom, and service. May he continue to be a shining light for Ibadan, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large,” he said.
