News reaching oyoaffairs.net has revealed that Chief Tafa Apanpa, a traditional ruler at Araromi, Bakatari in Ibadan has been abducted, along with his wife.
According to sources, they were both kidnapped in Bakatari while it was raining last night.
Bakatari is one of the towns located in Ido Local Government Area, Ibadan and is close to the Oyo-Ogun State border.
The Oyo State Police PRO confirmed the abduction later and stated that efforts were in top gear to rescue the victims and apprehend their abductors.
A resident of the area who pleaded anonymity also confirmed the abduction and said: “It is true. The Baale has been kidnapped.”
