Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has announced that the first phase of the Senator Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road, spanning 32 kilometers, will be commissioned by February next year.
He disclosed this at the unveiling of the official logo for the state’s 50th anniversary celebration, marking a major milestone in the state’s history.
The unveiling event took place today at the State Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.
During the ceremony, Governor Makinde expressed gratitude to individuals and groups who have contributed to the state’s progress and development since its creation.
The Governor highlighted his administration’s adoption of long-term and medium-term development strategies aimed at advancing the state.
Despite the prevailing economic challenges facing the country, Governor Makinde expressed confidence that Oyo State would continue to grow and record greater achievements in the coming years.
In his remarks, the Chairman, Oyo State @50 Committee, Honorable Saheed Fijabi, assured residents that the golden jubilee celebration would be inclusive, reflective, and forward-looking.
The highlight of the ceremony featured the symbolic release of 50 golden balloons into the air, and presentation of a ₦1.5 million cash prize to the logo’s designer.
