Two officers of the Western Security network codenamed Amotekun corp have been severely injured by some Fulani men in Atisbo local government area of Oyo state.
According to reports reaching OyoAffairs, the officers who live in Ofiki, a village in Atisbo LGA, normally patrol Ofiki and Irawo villages everyday, alongside local vigilantes, as the villagers are next to each other.
On their way to patrol today, when they got to Aba Agugudu market, which is between Ofiki and Irawo, they saw some Fulanis and Yorubas having an argument.
They stepped in to settle the dispute and in the process of trying to settle things, one of the Fulanis brought out a matchet and started attacking the security operatives.
Two Amotekun operatives were seriously wounded and some members of the local vigilante team were equally injured.
