Popular self-acclaimed Yoruba freedom campaigner; Chief Sunday Adeyemo, otherwise known as Sunday Igboho, has dismissed a now-viral rumour claiming he was arrested by some personnel of the Nigerian secret police and men of the Nigerian army at Sat Guru Maharajji village on Friday.
Sunday Igboho in a voice note played on Facebook by his media aide, Olayomi Koiki, during a live show at about 11:59 pm on Friday revealed that he is healthy and safe at his Ibadan residence.
“Good evening my fans. I thank you all. My name is Sunday Igboho and today is July 2, 2021. The rumour about my arrest at the Sat Guru Maharaj Ji temple is a lie. I was not at Guru Maharaj Ji.
“I’m at my house in Ibadan now.”
Since security officers raided his residence two days ago, Igboho has been speaking from hiding.
