Politicians – including former governors, Rashidi Ladoja and Adebayo Alao-Akala, on Thursday jettisoned their differences to attend the 9th year remembrance of late former governor, Lamidi Adesina.
Respects were paid to Lam-Adesina, who was the state governor between 1999-2003, and died at age 74 in 2012.
At the event which took place at the Felele house of the late former governor; former governors, loyalists and other politicians bridged their political divides to remember and respect the one-time educator turned governor, of the pacesetters state.

The Chief Imam of Ibadan and Grand Imam of Oyo state, Sheikh AbdulGaneey Agbotomokekere led other Islamic clerics to the 9th year Fidau. They prayed for the repose of the soul of the late former progressive leader.
Son of the late NADECO chieftain, who is a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina, thanked those who came to honour his late father saying, “The attendance has shown that everybody who wants to be remembered after his demise must live a life of legacy”.
When asked why some known faces were not in attendance, the APC chieftain said, “We invited everybody. It was so stressful but we extended invites. However, we cannot say what made some of them to be absent from here. They would surely have reasons but that does not matter.”
On the crisis rocking the party in the state he said, “We should not allow our selfish interest to spoil the party. I am confident we will get over it.”
