Chief Olajuwon Enitan Subair, the Mogaji of Ile Nla, has commenced the distribution of back-to-school materials, including exercise books, to children from Agboles across the interior parts of Ibadan.
True to the saying “charity begins at home,” Mogaji Ile Nla launched the initiative within his own community, where he already runs a Free Basic Education Program currently catering for 100 children. This new effort extends his commitment by providing notebooks and school supplies for the 2025/2026 academic session.
This year’s books are specially branded in commemoration of the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja.
“This is a big deal for me, as my focus is to motivate and support young children in the underserved Agboles of Ibadan. Coincidentally, this initiative begins in the same month of Baba’s coronation as Olubadan. I was in primary school when Baba became Governor of Oyo State, and I remember vividly his impactful educational policies,” said Mogaji Ile Nla.
“I want every child who receives these books to see Baba’s face and be inspired by his story as the Olubadan of Ibadanland.”
With this initiative, the Mogaji aims to reach at least 5,000 students before the end of the month, strengthening his ongoing mission to promote education and inspire the next generation in Ibadan’s interior communities.
