Olubadan’s 5th Coronation: Ooni, Sultan, Others Storm Ibadan to Celebrate Monarch


The City of Ibadan will receive notable dignitaries across the country, as the Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwunsi Ojaja II, Sultan of Sokoto and others are expected to grace the 5th coronation anniversary of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Olasupo Adetunji, the Olubadan of Ibadan land.

The anniversary dinner which will take place at Ilaji Hotels & Sports Resort, Akanran, Ibadan, Oyo State today, Thursday, March 4 is also expected to have the Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde in attendance.

Other political functionaries in the pacesetter state and beyond are also set to grace the unique occasion and warmly felicitate the Olubadan of Ibadan land.

Meanwhile, the current Ooni of Ife remains the first occupant of the exalted position in history to celebrate Olubadan and most especially his 5th coronation anniversary.

Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwunsi Ojaja II also invited the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji (Dr) Abubakar Sa’ad and other traditional rulers across the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the anniversary dinner.
