The Command disclosed that police personnel are currently on 24-hour high alert, maintaining sustained ground presence to prevent any criminal activity.

The Area Command has also been directed to ensure constant supervision and continuous patrol coverage across the affected axis.

The statement further revealed that a thorough, intelligence-driven investigation has been launched to determine the origin, authenticity and intent of the threat note.

“The Command wishes to state unequivocally that every lead is being pursued, and no effort will be spared in uncovering the truth behind this threat and ensuring that any individuals or groups found responsible are decisively dealt with in accordance with the law,” it said.

Reassuring residents, the Police Command urged the people of Ikoyi-Ile and Oyo State at large not to panic, stressing that robust security measures have been fully activated to safeguard lives and property.

Residents were advised to continue their lawful activities while remaining vigilant and promptly reporting any suspicious persons, movements or activities to the nearest police station or through established emergency channels.

The Command also noted that it is working in close collaboration with other security agencies and community security stakeholders to maintain a proactive and unified security posture across the state.

“The Oyo State Police Command remains resolute in its mandate and assures the public that criminal threats of any nature will not be allowed to thrive in Oyo State,” the statement concluded.
