Oyo RTEAN Boss Commends Makinde Over Giant Strides, Assures Him Of Association Support

The Oyo state Chapter of Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (TEAN) has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for transforming Oyo state, in the last one year of his administration.
Speaking with newsmen in ibadan, Oyo state capital, the state chairman of RTEAN, Comrade Kamorudeen idowu a.k.a Owogesi said that the state has witnessed unprecedented development in all sectors.

We are proud of the Governor Seyi Makinde administration.
Owogesi said that RTEAN will give the current administration in the state necessary support to succeed in office.

He said that the giant strides of the government in moving the state forward should be appreciated by all and sundry.
He added that RTEAN will definitely assist the government in generating revenue.

“I can assure the Governor that if RTEAN starts full operation in the State, we will contribute our quota to the growth and development of the state because tickets sold at Park will remitted to the state account,” he said.
Owogesi also used the opportunity to inform the Governor that despite the fact that RTEAN won the case against NURTW at the court of law, the immediate past administration refused to obey the judgement. “They refused to allow RTEAN to work in all local government in ibadan.”
He appealed to Makinde to allow RTEAN to start full operation in the state.

This was just as he urged the government to adopt the system that other state in the south west are using. “It’s one week for RTEAN and one week for NURTW in other states but in Oyo state, NURTW has been proscribed.
He said RTEAN members will forever be grateful to Governor Seyi Makinde if he allows RTEAN to start full operation because our members are law abiding citizens.

He further stated that there is a difference between RTEAN and Park Management System (PMS).
Owogesi also advised members of PMS and members of the proscribed NURTW to stop both the physical and verbal attack on RTEAN members.
