Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Sunday Dare, has announced his intentions to honour the memory of late Oba Jimoh Oyewumi, Soun of Ogbomoso, with a table tennis championship.
In a chat with newsmen, the sports minister disclosed that the championship, which is the maiden Ogbomoso youth table tennis competition, is for players between the ages of 15 and 35.
According to Dare, who is also the Agbaakin of Ogbomoso, the competition holds between Thursday 20th and Friday 21st January.
He also informed that all interested players have reported to the sports arena at the New Multi sSports, DAD Foundation Sports Arena/Youth Center, California area, beside Idi Oro Baptist Church; for the draw and start of the competition.
