Video: 30 Injured as Trailer Conveying Cows From Kano To Lagos Crashes at Agbowo

30 people have been injured with 2 in critical condition as a trailer transporting cows from Kano was involved in a fatal accident along Agbowo area in Ibadan while on it’s way to Lagos.

According to eye witnesses,the accident which occured at about 8:30am on Friday morning was as as a result of the trailer driver trying to avoid a Micra driver who was coming out of Agbowo and didn’t observe traffic rules. The driver while trying to avoid hitting the micra lost control of the wheels and crashed.

About 30 persons on board the truck were injured and taken to a nearby hospital at Agbowo for treatment.

While speaking with newsmen, a Doctor at the hospital, Dr. Onasanya said they were doing everything in their power to keep the two people in critical care alive while working on a transfer to UCH for them.

The driver of the truck who spoke through the aid of an interpreter confirmed the story of the eye witness, stating that a Micra driver caused the crash as he tried to avoid a collision with the taxi.

The Chairman, Hausa cattle dealers association in Oyo state, Alhaji Galadima thanked the residents of Agbowo for their solidarity and quick response. He also thanked the Nigerian police force, Agobowo Division for taking control of the situation.
