PDP’s Odidiomo Defeats Fijabi to Win Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Seat

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Adedeji Stanley Olajide, has emerged victorious in the Federal House of Representatives election held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, across all polling units of the Ibadan Northwest/Ibadan Southwest Federal Constituency.

In a keenly contested election, Hon Olajide defeated the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Hon Saheed Akinade Fijabi, and others to clinch his return ticket as the elected Federal Representative of the constituency.

OYOAFFAIRS gathered that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returning officer, Professor Oluwatoyin Bimpe Jegede, declared the results, which showed that the PDP candidate garnered 23,847 votes to defeat Hon Fijabi of the APC, who received 22,815 votes. She thereafter declared Hon Adedeji Stanley Olajide as the winner of the February 25th, 2023, Federal House of Representatives election for IBNW/IBSW Federal Constituency election.
