Ex-First Lady of Oyo State, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, has shared a deeply emotional tribute in memory of her late daughter, Abisola Kola-Daisi, marking the anniversary of her passing.
In a heartfelt message posted on her Facebook page, Mrs. Ajimobi described her daughter as “forever loved, forever cherished and forever missed,” expressing both grief and gratitude for the life Abisola lived.
The former first lady wrote that her heart remains “both broken and full” — broken by the loss of her first child, yet full of the love, memories and impact she left behind.
Reflecting on Abisola’s life, she recalled her as a source of joy, grace and warmth from birth, noting her ability to make ordinary moments extraordinary through her smile and generous spirit.
“Truly, it was a privilege to mother you, Abisola,” she wrote, adding that her daughter embodied strength, compassion and unwavering faith throughout her life.
Mrs. Ajimobi also spoke of the enduring bond between mother and child, stating that despite her physical absence, Abisola lives on through memories, love and the lives she touched.
“To lose a daughter is to lose a part of oneself, yet I know she is not truly gone,” she noted, expressing belief in eternal life and reunion.
The tribute, laced with biblical references, emphasised faith and submission to God’s will, as she entrusted her daughter’s soul to eternal rest.
She concluded with a moving farewell, describing Abisola as one who “flew with grace, lived with purpose, and will forever be deeply loved.”
The emotional post has since drawn reactions from sympathisers and well-wishers, many of whom offered prayers and words of comfort to the Ajimobi family.
