The former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, has on Tuesday morning visited the new Olubadan-designate, Oba Senator Lekan Balogun, at his Alarere residence.

The former president, while congratulating the monarch for his emergence as the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland, prayed God to give Oba Lekan Balogun long life and sound health on the throne.

He said he was optimistic that with the wealth of experience of the new monarch, Ibadan will witness rapid changes during his reign.

The duo, while having a lively discussion together, ate pap (Ogi) and moinmoin as breakfast.

Meanwhile, the coronation of Oba Lekan Balogun has been slated to hold on the 11th of March, 2022.
