Honorable member representing Ibadan Southwest/Northwest at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Adedeji Stanley Olajide, recount the death of the legal luminary, elder statesman and former attorney general and minister of justice of Nigeria, Chief Richard Osuolale Akinjide (SAN) as inevitable and great loss to the nation, Oyo State and Ibadan in particular.
In a condolence message to the people of Oyo State, Ibadan and the Akinjide’s family, he said the wealth of experience possessed by late Chief Akinjide was felt across the nation most especially within the judicial system and stabilization of democracy in Nigeria.
Hon. Olajide said our nation is blessed and honored with his intelligence and impact within the nation and people of Ibadan in particular, he describe late Chief Akinjide as one who’s kindness will never be forgotten and pray that God gives the family the fortitude to bear his loss.
