Item7go Building Undergoing Construction Collapses in Ibadan

A proposed branch of the fast growing food brand, Item7go still undergoing construction around Dugbe axis of Ibadan, Oyo state capital reportedly collapsed on Sunday evening.

The development which has now gone viral on social media have generated many reactions to the sudden strange occurence.

While some netizens sympathized with the owner, some commented on the structural design of the building saying it’s too tall and wouldn’t be able to receive the wave of winds especially in the raining season.

The structure height is much to be honest. No building beside item7 Dugbe Ibadan that has the same structure that will accept the wind and humidity of that location” A tiktok user wrote.

The debris from the collapsed structure blocked one lane of the ever busy Dugbe–Mokola Road. Emergency response teams and equipment were also on ground to evacuate the rubble and clear the obstruction.
