Kishi Monarch, KPU Visit Oyo Deputy Governor, Pledge to Support Makinde’s Re-election Bid

The Iba of Kishi, Oba Moshood Oyekola Lawal Arowoduye II and the leadership of the Kishi Progressive Union (KPU) on Wednesday during their congratulatory visit to the new Oyo State Deputy Governor, Barr. Bayo Lawal, pledged their support for the re–election of the Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde.

The Kishi monarch has also promised that sons and daughters of Kishi will support the ‘Seyi Makinde/Bayo Lawal ticket for the 2023 general elections.

While speaking, the Iba of Kishi thanked Governor ‘Seyi Makinde for finding their son worthy of the position of the Deputy Governor.

He expressed hope and optimism that the emergence of Bayo Lawal will bring more development to Kishi town and Oke Ogun in general.

Also speaking, Chief Bayo Adesope – National President, Kishi Progressives Union, said the 2023 election result will be different from the 2019.

Welcoming them to his new office, the Deputy Governor offered his appreciation to his father and his kinsmen for their show of solidarity.

He promised to be a good ambassador of his hometown by standing firmly with the governor to make Oyo State greater.

He nonetheless solicited the support of all indigenes of Kishi home and abroad for Governor ‘Seyi Makinde led administration as well as his re-election come 2023.

Among the entourage of the Iba of Kishi were; Chief Yakubu Adeyanju – Ajagunna of Kishi, Chief Mrs Sariyu Atunrase – Iyalode of Kishi, Chief Raufu Adeola – Aare Ilu of Kishi, Chief Rahman Bioku – Bobajiro of Kishi land.

Similarly, members of Kishi Progressive Union (KPU) in attendance were Chief Bayo Adesope – National President, Alhaji Tajudeen Abubarkar – National Secretary, Alhaji Najeem Yusuf – KPU National PRO, Mr John Fatunbi – Member, National Executive, Prof Fatai Adeniyi – KPU Chairman, Ibadan branch, Mr Adewole Iliasu, Hon Dauda Adam – Former member, OYHA, Alhaji Ayoola S. – Kishi Day Chairman and Mr Yunusa Balogun.
