The late Alaafin’s son, Abdulfatai Adeyemi, also known as D-Gov, has passed away at the age of 47.

According to reports, he died on Friday morning, a day before his 47th birthday, due to complications from diabetes at the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Abdulfatai’s father, Alaafin Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, passed away at the age of 83 on April 22, 2022, at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital. His son’s death comes just 19 months after his father’s demise.

Before his passing, Abdulfatai was appointed by the state governor, Seyi Makinde, as Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Pension Board during his first term.
