The Senior and Non-Academic Staff of the Ladoke Akintola University have announced a peaceful protest to demand the payment of 8 month salary arears owed to its members.

According to a statement made available to newsmen, the protest will take place after a congress of the institution’s Joint Action Committee.

The agenda of the protest includes the payment of 8 months salaries arrears, balance of 68hours Earned allowances, 13 months cooperative societies deductions and Promotion arrears from 2012/2013.

Also, the immediate constitution of LAUTECH Governing council, implementation of promotions and payment of Minimum wage and arrears were also mentioned as key reasons for the peaceful protest
