The recently resigned Chief of Staff to the Oyo State Governor, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, has announced the passing of his beloved mother.

Ogunwuyi shared the heartbreaking news on his official Facebook page early Saturday morning, expressing deep grief but total submission to the divine will of God.

“With heavy hearts but total submission to the will of Allah, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Alhaja, who has returned to her Creator,” the former federal lawmaker wrote.

He further requested prayers for her peaceful transition, writing, “May Allah (SWT) forgive her shortcomings, grant her eternal rest, and admit her into Jannat al-Firdaus.”

The painful loss comes just days after Ogunwuyi officially stepped down from his prominent role as Governor Seyi Makinde’s Chief of Staff.

Since the announcement, prominent figures, political associates, and well-wishers have begun sending their condolences to the Ogunwuyi family during this difficult time.
