A senior Chiefs in the Olubadan chieftainncy line, veteran journalist and analyst, Oloye Olalekan Alabi has been laid to rest according to Islamic rites.

Alabi, who was the Abese Olubadan of Ibadanland and a former Chief Press Secretary to three past governors of Oyo State died on Saturday, in Lagos at the age of 76

The Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheik Abdulganiy Abubakar, led Islamic clerics to perform the Janazah (prayer for the deceased).

The Janazah was held at the residence of the deceased at Akobo area of Ibadan.

Alabi was subsequently buried Sunday afternoon at Eternal Home Cemetery along the Ibadan/ Oyo Expressway.
