Onigbeti Lauds Makinde Over Plan to Establish Airstrip In Igbeti

The Onigbeti of Igbeti Land, in Oke Ogun area of Oyo state, Oba Bashir Olalekan Abioye Siyanbola IV, has applauded the Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde for his visionary plans to establish airstrips in Igbeti.

Oba Siyanbola further commended the giant efforts of the incumbent chairman of Olorunsogo local government, Hon. Qozeem Olayanju whom he described as the right person to occupy the chairmanship position in the council, considering his unprecedented performances

The Onigbeti who made the appreciation message while feeding newsmen in Igbeti, noted that the proposed airstrip is expected to enhance security, transportation and stimulate economic growth in Oke Ogun.

Oyo Affairs had reported that governor Makinde during the passing out parade of 480 new Amotekun Forest rangers promised his administration’s determination to establish two airstrips in Igbeti and Otu to boost security architecture in Oke Ogun area of the state.

Oba Siyanbola commended the governor for his commitment to improving infrastructure and accessibility in Oyo State.

He highlighted that the proposed airstrips would not only facilitate the security of lives and property but also promote tourism and attract investments to Igbeti.

“The establishment of airstrips in our land is a monumental step towards modernization,” Onigbeti stated. “It will open up Igbeti to the world and provide our people with greater opportunities.”

Governor Makinde’s initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance connectivity across the state, ensuring that rural areas benefit from improved infrastructure.
