Oyo State joint security task force, code-named Operation Burst on Sunday arrested four members of a criminal syndicate harassing residents of Akanran village, Ona-Ara Local Government Area of Oyo State.
According to intelligence reports, the gang, which included a lady and three other young males, was apprehended by men of the Operation Burst unit. The accused were reported to have been tormenting the town for some time, forcing locals to endure sleepless nights as a result of their criminal activities.
Operatives from the joint security task force had previously attempted to apprehend the suspects responsible for terrorizing the community, but their coordinated efforts had been unsuccessful until yesterday.
After arresting the suspects in Olode, Amuloko, Ona-Ara Local Government Area, Operation Burst turned them over to the police at Akanran Police Station for further investigation.
It was revealed that the gang’s lone female member provided metaphysical powers, charms, and orders to carry out their evil acts and operations
