Oyo Ranks 1st among States that generated highest Revenue from LGAs

According to a recent report by TheCableIndex, Oyo State has emerged as the top state in Nigeria that generated the highest revenue from Local Government Areas (LGAs) for the year 2022.

The report reveals that Oyo State generated a whopping N11.8 billion, surpassing other states by a significant margin.

Lagos State, known for its economic prowess, came in second place with a revenue of N11.5 billion. Jigawa State secured the third position with N8.7 billion. These three states showcased their strong financial performance and ability to generate substantial revenue from their LGA’s.

The report also highlighted the revenue generated by other states across the country. Rivers State secured the fourth position with N2.5 billion, closely followed by Edo State with N2.4 billion. Delta State generated N1.9 billion, while Ogun State recorded N1.3 billion in revenue.

Enugu State, Nassarawa State, Kano State, and Niger State also made it to the top 10, generating N1.1 billion, N843.6 million, N820.8 million, and N816.2 million respectively.

The remaining states in the top include Kebbi, Cross River, Yobe, Taraba, Gombe, Ondo, Kwara, Abia, Ekiti, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Osun, Anambra, Kogi, Borno, Imo, Ebonyi, and Akwa Ibom.
