Shooting Stars Maintain Unbeaten Streak, Defeat Bendel Insurance 1-0 in Home Victory

The Oluyole Warriors, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), extended their unbeaten run to nine games on Saturday evening with a hard-fought victory.

3SC secured a 1-0 win against visiting NPFL rivals, Bendel Insurance, at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

The Ibadan-based club remains within striking distance of NPFL leaders Remo Stars, who claimed a 2-1 home victory against Kano Pillars.

The match-winning goal for Shooting Stars came from Godwin Odibo, who scored in the 85th minute to mark a dream debut following his transfer from Sporting Lagos.

With this result, Remo Stars now sit atop the table with 48 points from 23 matches, eight points ahead of second-placed Shooting Stars, who have a game in hand.
