Three Men Land in Court for Burgling Bank and Stealing Laptops in Ibadan

Three individuals, Olufemi Faleti (59), Ayoade Adewale (41), and Idowu Yusuf (41), appeared before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan on Friday, facing allegations of unlawfully entering a bank and stealing electronic devices.

Though the court did not list their residential addresses, the trio was formally charged with conspiracy, burglary, and theft. All three pleaded not guilty to the accusations.

Prosecuting officer Inspector Elisha Tellang informed the court that the suspects allegedly committed the offence at about 7:30 p.m. on March 24 at a branch of First Bank located in Asogo, Oyo State.

He claimed the men unlawfully entered the premises and made away with two laptops valued at ₦800,000.

Tellang noted that their actions violated Sections 516, 413, and 390(9) of the Oyo State Criminal Code of 2000.

Presiding over the matter, Magistrate Moyosore Atanda granted each defendant bail in the amount of ₦300,000 and ordered them to present two sureties each in the same sum. The case was postponed until September 8 for continuation.
