2023: APC Guber Aspirant, Fagade Steps Down To Contest Oyo Central Ticket

A 2023 governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Oyo State, Abisoye Fagade, has suddenly withdrawn from the race.

The Marketing communications guru, in a video posted on his timeline, said he is no longer contesting the governorship of Oyo State but will now be contesting the senatorial seat of Oyo central.

In an 85 seconds video posted on his social media accounts some hours ago, Fagade said he was heeding the advice of party leaders who he had consulted.

He will be slugging it out with the likes of Yunus Akintunde, Kazeem Kolawole Raji, Faozey Oladotun Nurudeen, Bimbo Kolade, Ayo Adeseun and Wakil Oyedemi.

The video was accompanied with a statement titled: “The Mission Starts From The Centre!

It reads: “In furtherance to my dream of service to my state, I have consulted far and wide and in obeisance, to party supremacy and my leaders, I have thrown my hat into the ring of the Oyo Central Senatorial seat. I am most grateful for the outpour of support and plead for even more as we go into the primaries and the general elections Participation is non-negotiable and we will achieve that future that is full of possibilities.
