I Have No Son Grown Enough to Declare — Tinubu Disowns Osinbajo After Presidential Declaration

The former governor of Lagos state and the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has disclosed that Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo is not his political son.

He stated this while responding to questions thrown at him by journalists on Osinbajo’s declaration, after his meeting with the 12 APC governors.

When asked to comment on the declaration of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who is seen by many as his political son, for presidency, Tinubu simply said, “I don’t have any son grown up enough to make such declaration.”

Tinubu had first declined to speak with journalists after the governor of Kebbi state, Sen. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, who is reportedly one of his think-tanks, addressed the press on Monday in Abuja, shortly after meeting their meeting.

The meeting at Kebbi Governor’s Lodge, Asokoro in Abuja, came hours after Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, joined the 2023 presidential race.

Tinubu however, said his meeting with state governors on the platform of the party, was to seek collaboration, support and encouragement of his party, concerning his 2023 presidential ambition.
