20 Abducted Oyo Prospective Corps Members Released – Olubadan Confirms

The twenty prospective National Youth Service Corps members abducted while travelling from Ibadan, Oyo State, to their orientation camp in the South-East have been released.

The confirmation was contained in a statement signed by the Media Aide to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Adeola Oloko.

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, received the confirmation on Wednesday from the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, during a telephone conversation at about 5 p.m.

The release of the prospective corps members comes after days of uncertainty and concern over their safety following their abduction while on their way to the NYSC orientation camp.

The development is expected to bring relief to the families of the victims, who had earlier appealed to relevant authorities to intensify efforts towards securing their release.
