Niyi Ajao, a former Special Adviser on Information and Communication Technology to the late former governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, is dead.
The death of Mr. Ajao was confirmed by close political associates in a telephone interview with newsmen, in the early hours of Wednesday.
Mr. Ajao, according to our sources, died in the early hours of Monday. He was in his early 40s. He breathed his last at his residence after a long battle with an undisclosed illness.
Niyi Ajao was a young compound chief in Ibadanland, known as Mogaji. He was the Mogaji of Ayegun.
Reacting to the news, many have expressed shock over the death of the former governor’s aide, noting that his loyalty and commitment to the development of the Oyo State, was exemplary and worthy of emulation.
