Reconciliatory moves between Asiwaju Tinubu and the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, have been reportedly set into motion by the two highest ranking Yoruba monarchs; Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi and the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi earlier today.
The duo were said to have had a private meeting for almost two hours, with Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in one of the private residences of the Alaafin in Ibadan, with a view to putting an end to the obvious rift between Tinubu and Aregbesola.
According to sources close to the palace, the reconciliation move is going on well and as intended, and both parties have shown interest in putting their differences behind them and moving ahead in the interest of all, Osun and Yorubaland.
The leaders of the Yoruba race met on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital to resolve the lingering strained relationship between the two prominent Yoruba political leaders- Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
Meanwhile, reliable sources have disclosed that after today’s meeting, the leaders agreed to move to the next stage of the meeting which will be held at a later date.
