Amotekun, Operation Burst Intercept Truck full of Fulani men in Ibadan




Men of the Amotekun corps and the joint security outfit in Oyo state; Operation burst have intercepted and accosted passengers and drivers of a DAF truck whose registration number is Bauchi KTG 220 ZZ at Iwo road area of Ibadan, Oyo state on Sunday evening.
The said truck which was driven by one Mr. Auwalu Mustapha was said to be transporting 80 Fulani men, 25 cows and 25 motorcycles.

The timely intervention of personnel of Operation burst and Amotekun at the spot of interception ensured that these Fulani men were not attacked and their goods vandalized.

It was gathered that the Fulani men were driven to the Agodi Police station, where they were questioned to ascertain their purpose and destination.

Police interrogation revealed that the Fulani men were from kano and on their way to Ogun and Lagos states to engage in commercial motorcycle riding and to sell the cows.

A credible source among the security operatives said that when searched, nothing incriminating was found with the Fulanis or in the vehicle that brought them.

Thereafter, they were escorted by police patrol team to the defunct toll gate at Ibadan end of Lagos/Ibadan highway, to make them leave peacefully, as they headed towards Lagos.

Oyo State PPRO, CSP Olugbenga Fadeyi confirmed the story, saying that the Fulanis were led out of Oyo State towards their destinations by the police.

CSP Fadeyi said the said Fulani men had nothing incriminating and so were led peacefully and carefully towards their destination.
