Angry Mob Burn Suspected Okada Thieves to Death in Ibadan (Photos)

Two people were on Wednesday evening set ablaze by an angry mob along Sango-Eleyele road in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.

They were said to be armed robbers who specialise in hijacking motorcycles popularly known as okada from commercial motorcyclists.

It was gathered that luck ran against them when the victim cried out to raise an alarm around Bembo area as they tried to carry out their dastard act.

The angry mob overtook them and took the law in their hand, to serve as a deterrent to others who engage in such unholy acts.

As at Thursday morning when newsmen visited the scene, vital parts of their bodies had been removed while the burnt ashes remained.

An eye witness who doesn’t claimed anonymity said, “The notorious armed robbers needed to be dealt with, they don’t spare people, the rate at which they are hijacking peoples bag, phones and okada is alarming so anytime they were caught in the act, they need to be punished”.

Recall that a similar incident happened a few weeks ago around Gbaremu along Sango–Eleyele road.
