Arapaja visits Fayose in bid to unify Southwest PDP

In a bid to foster unification and pacify aggrieved party members, People’s Democratic Party National Vice Chairman (South West) Ambassador Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja has led Representatives of the PDP South-West Executives to meet with the former Governor Ayodele Peter Fayose of Ekiti State at his Ikeja, Lagos residence.

The visit was communicated in a press statement signed by the Special Assistant on Media and publicity to the PDP National Vice Chairman (South West) Bamitale Ibrahim.

The former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Peter Fayose gave a warm reception to his guests and declared his wish for true reconciliation to move the party forward.

Arapaja said that the false reports making the rounds claiming that the move to see the former Ekiti state governor was to appeal to Fayose’s vanity should be ignored as they were clearly originated by mischief makers trying to cause a party split.

According to Arapaja, the visit was initiated by neither the National Chairman of the Party, Chief Uche Secondus nor the Former Governor Fayose but was a joint decision by the South West executives to unify the Southwest PDP in line with campaign promises.

The meeting has in attendance: Hon. Rahmon Owokoniran, SW zonal Secretary, Chief Mrs Bose Adedibu SW Woman Leader, Barr. Gbenga Kukoyi, SW Legal Adviser, Mr Rasaq Adewoyin, SW Financial Secretary, Chief Olusanya Atofarati, SW Publicity Secretary, Engr. Adedeji Doherty, Chairman PDP Lagos State, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, Former SW Secretary, Hon. Prince Daisi Akintan, Former Caretaker SW zonal Secretary, Mrs Funmilayo Ogun, Former member SW caretaker committee Among others.
