Army Informs Communities Within Odogbo Barracks Not to Panic as Soldiers Begin Exercise

Communities living around Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Odogbo barracks, Ibadan, have been informed not to panic on hearing the sound of firing during the Range Classification Exercise of the Nigerian Army which begins this Thursday.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations Officer, 2 division headquarters, Colonel Hassan Mohammed, on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the Range Classification Exercise aims to test and refresh the weapon handling proficiency of young soldiers of the division.

The statement, however, directed those farming and hunting within the 2 division headquarters’ vicinity to avoid the range area throughout the exercise period which will last for two days.
