Oyo State government has started the process of establishing Oyo State Institute of Information Communication Technology and Entrepreneurship Studies.
The State House of Assembly on Thursday for the second time, read the bill to establish the institute.
The bill is geared at offering and developing specialized academic and professional programmes in Information Technology, Communication Technology, Computer science, satellite systems, entrepreneurship development and training.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin said the institute will identify ICT, entrepreneurship challenges of the state and proffer appropriate solutions through its training programmes.
The bill has been handed over to appropriate house committees in order to look into it properly to ensure that the necessary things are added for commencement of the proposed institute.
