The National Executive Council of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has finally called off the 8-month-old strike.

The academic union, which had embarked on a strike on Monday, February 14, 2022, concluded to call of the prolonged labour action after meeting in Abuja on Thursday night.

Speaking with PUNCH, a reliable source within the NEC said, “Yes, it has been called off”.

When asked for more details, the source said, “the president will release an official circular in the morning”.
