The federal government has reponded to the letter of Oyo North senator, Fatai Buhari, over the dipilated conditions of Oyo-Iseyin and Igbeti-Ilorin roads.
The Oyo senator had earlier wrote a SOS letter to the Minister of Works for urgent attention of the roads.
But in a response letter obtained on Friday, the FG said the Oyo-Iseyin road is currently undergoing the necessary procurement processes in preparation for the contract award.
For the Ilorin- Igbeti-Kishi road, the government explained that the road has been awarded and contractor expected to finalise work by November 2020.
Oyo-Iseyin road has been a nightmare for communters over the years.
Few months ago, the road drivers embarked on strike over the unpassable nature of the road.
