Covid-19: Oyo Health Students Suspended For Flouting Safety Protocol



Two students of the Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology (OYSCHST), Eleyele, Ibadan have been suspended by the school’s Provost, Mr Siji Ganiyu, over their failure to use a face mask around the school premises.

According to a statement signed by the college Public Relations Officer, Mr Sola Samuel Ojewole, the provost expressed deep concerns over students’ lackadaisical attitude towards COVID 19 safety protocols.

The provost stated that the suspension of the two students is meant to serve as a warning to other students and warned that any other student of the institution caught not observing COVID -19 safety measures would be sent packing.

He noted that COVID-19 is very real, adding that efforts must be directed towards the prevention of its spread within the college premises

He further said that the state government is doing its best to prevent the spread of the killer respiratory disease and called on people to play their part by adhering to all safety protocols.
