Environment Ministry Holds Quarterly Meeting, Engages Stakeholders on Noise Pollution

The Oyo State Ministry of Environment has on Tuesday held a quarterly meeting in a bid to further minimize noise pollution in the state.

The ministry who made this development known on their official X handle wrote;

“Today, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources held its Quarterly Noise & Nuisance Eradication Campaign Meeting.

“This meeting was held at the conference room, Environment House, Agodi secretariat.

“This quarterly campaign once again gave the ministry a chance to engage key stakeholders on the need to abide with Oyo state environmental laws on noise pollution.

“In attendance were key stakeholders including religious leaders, Community leaders and related private businesses. Some notable attendees include representatives from Maracana Lounge, Oyo state Housing corporation, Christian Association of Nigeria, Switch Lounge and bar, Sluggers, Cascade Lounge Akobo, House 25 (Oshuntokun) among others.

“The potential health effects of noise pollution include increased stress levels, sleep disturbance, or hearing damage. We encourage all key stakeholders to be law abiding by maintaining approved noise levels.

“For all noise related complaints you can reach the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources on social Media.”
