An event tagged “Barryfest” in honour of Fuji legend, Late Dr. Sikiru Ayinde Barrister’s, posthumous 74th birthday is presently holding in Ibadan.
According to reports, Barryfest is taking place at the Ilaji Resort, Akanran, Ibadan because it’s the hometown of the late musician.
The organisers led by Olaide Olawumi disclosed that the celebration will feature a Gala Night on Saturday, February 12, 2022, and a musical carnival on Sunday, February 13, 2022.
Olawumi, who is the Chairman Organising Committee, said notable fuji musicians have signified their intentions to be part of the event.
“It is going to be a befitting programme in memory of the man who was so creative to bring out Fuji genre from different indigenous brands,” Olawumi said.
