FG’s ROTTEN RICE: Makinde’s Bold Move Highly Commendable – Fani-Kayode

Femi Fani Kayode, via his twitter page, has commended the Governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde, for returning the infested 1,800 bags of rice sent to the state by the Federal Government as COVID-19 palliatives.

FFK described the governor as being bold and courageous to have taken such step.

He equally blamed the FG for sending rotten and mouldy rice to the South Western states as part of palliatives, saying that such was not done to the Nothern states.

However, this has prompted other governors in the south west zone to return theirs bags of rice when they discovered they were unfit for consumption.

Recall that the Governor had assured that other items that are part of the palliatives sent were intact and would be disbursed accordingly soon.
