Former Oyo State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Florence Ajimobi, has dismissed a viral video circulating on social media, insisting it is a fabricated deepfake designed to mislead the public about her stance on the 2027 governorship election.

In a statement released by her office, Dr. Ajimobi said:

“The remarks in the video were never made by me. This content is entirely fabricated, and it is designed to mislead the public and create confusion ahead of the 2027 elections.”

The video, which shows Dr. Ajimobi apparently making controversial statements about the PDP-led administration, has been confirmed by digital forensic experts to be AI-generated, with manipulated lip movements and voice.

The former First Lady warned that the video represents the weaponization of artificial intelligence in politics, a growing concern as the country approaches the 2027 election cycle.
