The Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the APC on Wednesday, rejected the list of state excos submitted by Akin Oke, the out-gone chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
It was reliably gathered that Hon. Oke reported to the national secretariat of the party to beat the one-week deadline given to Oyo APC stakeholders, to harmonise list of state executives of the party.
Inside sources at the National Secretariat of the party disclosed to newsmen that the national caretaker chairman, Governor Mai Mala Buni rejected Oke’s list, citing non-involvement of former governor, Alao-Akala in the harmonisation process.
Recall there have been claims and counter-claims on who to midwife the harmonisation process between the former governor, Alao-Akala and the former state chairman of the party.
Report has it that with the rejection of Oke’s list in Abuja on Wednesday, Otunba Alao-Akala is expected to oversee the harmonisation process in a meeting set to hold tomorrow.
