The Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde has today, flagged-off the rehabilitation of the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA) in Saki.
At the event, the Governor reinstated his interest in agriculture as a keystone for reviving the economy of the state and noted that several factors were responsible for the headquarter of agriculture being domiciled in Saki.
He affirmed that work was in progress on the Iseyin-Saki expressway and assured the Saki community that his administration will provide every necessary intervention to make Agribusiness thrive in the state.
He disclosed that the movement of the OYSADA to Saki will bring economic input to the community and will lead to the expansion of local businesses. He assured them that the rehabilitation will be completed in about five months with the use of local artisans.
Makinde thanked the people of Saki for their warm reception and asserted that this was the beginning of Oke-Ogun as a stronger economic giant in Oyo state.
In his remark, Dr. Debo Akande, the Executive Adviser on Agribusiness stated that the Seyi Makinde administration is doing things differently by focusing on the business and management of Agriculture known as Agribusiness.
Akande called on the people of Oyo State to embrace the various initiatives the government is putting in place in Agriculture.
