According to him, “I was not aware of any arrest. I didn’t report anybody. The said man isn’t a known person to me and he hasn’t offended me. Anybody who says I ordered anybody’s arrest or wrote any petition, should come forward”, he stated.

Omodewu in a telephone chat further said, he is more concerned about how his party will stand in unity in the state, as preparations for 2023 elections are hitting the top gear.

“I am concerned about reconciliation in our party. So why would I order anybody’s arrest even if the person offended me? I am the party chairman in the state and I don’t see reason why anybody would link me with such.

“Be that as it may, I have asked my people to see the police to further get clarification on what truly transpired.
