Ibadan–Born Ridwan Oyekola ‘Scorpion’ to Defend Super FeatherWeight Title in Japan

The Ibadan-born Nigerian boxer, Ridwan “Scorpion” Oyekola is going to be defending his Super-featherweight title tomorrow night in Japan.

Recall that the Nigerian World Boxing Federation (WBF) Super Featherweight Champion, Ridwan ‘Scorpion’ Oyekola won his debut appearance in the Asian country, when he defeated Japan’s Daisuke Watanabe, last month.

In the international boxing challenge bout, Scorpion won on all three judges cards, 78-75, 78-74, and 78-73. It was an eight round slugfest at Gateaux kingdom, Sapporo, Japan.

In the meantime, the champion will fight Thailand’s Manat Sopatip in an 8-rounds Super-featherweight contest at the City Gym, Tomigusuku, Okinawa in Japan.
